Since he was able to hold a pencil and LEGO bricks with his own hands, Daniel Zimmerman has been creating and designing in pursuit of his lifelong dream of “making something cool and inspiring fun and creativity.” Daniel’s one goal since childhood has been to become a LEGO Designer for The LEGO Group. This goal has pushed him to study the art and design processes, graphic design, product design, and 3D printing. Studies that have allowed him to develop skills in using the fine arts, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and the operation of 3D printers. Daniels’s love of LEGO has driven him to attend and display at over ten LEGO fan conventions and he has been interviewed by recognized LEGO fan media.

His LEGO builds have also awarded him second place in the Traditional Category at the East Stroudsburg University Art Association 2022 Student Art Exhibition. His work with collaborative teams on New Hashima and Zeta Halo has also received multiple awards and nominations.

 

After graduating from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, Daniel has been hard at work creating new things to share with the world to spread creativity. Daniel is currently working as a Master Model Builder at the LEGOLAND New York Resort, where he spends everyday building with LEGO Bricks and inspiring the builders of tomorrow. He continues to work as a Freelance Designer and take on creative jobs to provide fun, creative, and inspiring designs to his clientele. Daniel hopes to use the knowledge he learns to create something new that brings a childlike excitement to the world and inspires others to create something. He also regularly posts on social media as TacoBricks, sharing his custom LEGO creations.
